We only offer private departures which means you won’t be travelling with a large group of strangers! It is just your family and you have complete flexibility with your itinerary. Together with your Guide, you decide what time to begin your game drive each morning and how long you want to spend with the wildlife. When you’re ready to call it a day, you will return to your lodge for relaxation and perhaps a swim in the pool.
After a long flight the last thing you want to do is haggle for a taxi amongst the chaos at the airport! All of our safari packages include airport transfers. We’ll be there to welcome you and drive you to your hotel in a private air-conditioned vehicle. A calmer experience for the whole family.
There are no scheduled activities on your arrival day. The day is at leisure which allows everyone in the family time to settle into their new environment.
Of course, every family is different and if you want to “hit the ground running” we have plenty of activities to keep you busy. Ask us for a list of day tours on offer.
Your departure day is free too. Have a sleep-in, spend the day by the pool or do some last minute shopping at the local market. We can arrange for you to have access to your room until it’s time to depart for the airport. This ensures the whole family are bathed, fed, well-rested and ready for the journey ahead.
Again, we’ll drive you to the airport in a private air-conditioned vehicle before wishing you ‘safari njema’ (Swahili for: safe journey)
Our Guides have been hand-picked by Benson himself for their knowledge and experience, professionalism, attention to detail, sense of humour and communications skills.
They are fluent English speakers (other languages are available too) and are passionate about Africa and showcasing the best that Tanzania has to offer. They are eager to please and it is their mission to ensure you have the best holiday possible with many stories to take home.
Majority of our Guides are Fathers too, so they know what makes the little ones tick!
Your accommodation has been carefully chosen with your family in mind. Where possible, we’ve selected hotels and lodges with a pool – a great way to top off your adventure-filled day. We’ve also chosen hotels and lodges which allow triple and quad share, meaning the whole family can stay together.
We also offer Full Service Camping safaris however these are not recommend for children under 6 years of age.
No doubt your children have read about them in books and watched them on television. They may have even seen them at your local zoo. There is nothing more magical than the look on your little one’s face as they experience their favourite animal in the wild, roaming free in their natural habitat, as they were meant to be. Whether it’s a lion, giraffe, Mother elephant and her calf or a monkey, we guarantee squeals of delight and utter happiness.
Tanzania is home to over 120 tribes from the past and present.
All safari itineraries passing through the Ngorongoro Crater will visit a Maasai Village in the Ngorongoro Highlands. Here you will meet with the Elders, Warriors, woman and children and learn about their traditions and beliefs. Did you know the Maasai are the last nomadic tribe in Tanzania?
For those including Lake Eyasi on their itinerary, you will spend a day with the Hadazbe bush people as they go about their daily life. Join the fun as they go hunting and gathering and learn more about their way of life.

Tanzania is a year-round destination and there is no bad time for safari as both the dry season and the wet season offer different experiences.
During the dry season the skies are clear, the days are sunny and you will see the harsh sun suck the moisture from the landscape, baking the earth a dusty red while the wet season brings dense bush, high grasses and luscious scenery. This is also when the migratory birds are present and bird watching is at its best.
Our safaris range from 4 to 10 days duration and we can also put together a tailor-made itinerary – just for you.
