Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 – 2: Namib Desert & Sossusvlei Scenic Exploration

Your Namibian adventure begins on arrival in Windhoek, where you will be warmly welcomed and assisted with your private charter flight to the heart of the Namib Desert.

This spectacular flight reveals dramatic views over the Namib Naukluft Mountains and the endless red dunes stretching to the horizon. Upon landing, you will be transferred to your lodge and later set out on a guided excursion to Sossusvlei.

Surrounded by some of the tallest dunes on Earth, Sossusvlei is one of Namibia’s most iconic landscapes. You will explore remarkable sites such as Dune 45, Big Daddy, Elim Dune, Sesriem Canyon, and the hauntingly beautiful Dead Vlei, where ancient camelthorn trees stand frozen in time.

A scenic picnic among the dunes and a sundowner drive across the desert plains complete your experience. With two nights here, you will also enjoy the stillness of the desert and the extraordinary clarity of one of the darkest night skies in the world.

Today you take to the skies once again on a private charter flight to the legendary Skeleton Coast.

From above, you will witness shifting dunes meeting the cold Atlantic Ocean, old diamond mining settlements, and the remains of shipwrecks scattered along the shoreline. After a brief stop in Swakopmund (time permitting for a short exploration), your journey continues north to Mowe Bay followed by a scenic transfer to your lodge.

During your stay, you will explore this dramatic and isolated region on guided 4×4 excursions. Discover seal colonies, weathered shipwrecks such as the Suiderkus and Karimona, and the remarkable clay castles carved by ancient rivers.

Game drives along the Hoanib and Hoarusib river systems offer opportunities to track desert-adapted elephants, giraffes, and other wildlife uniquely adapted to this harsh yet beautiful environment.
Beach walks and sundowners overlooking the Atlantic Ocean add to the magic of this unforgettable coastal safari.

After breakfast, you will fly by private charter via Ondangwa to the eastern side of Etosha National Park, followed by a short road transfer to your luxury lodge.

Etosha, meaning “The Great White Place,” is centred around a vast salt pan and is one of Africa’s most rewarding wildlife destinations. The park’s network of waterholes attracts an abundance of animals, allowing for exceptional game viewing.

Your days here include morning and afternoon game drives in open safari vehicles, where you may encounter elephants, lions, rhinos, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, and large herds of plains game.
In the afternoons, enjoy sundowners on the private reserve and relax at the lodge while wildlife gathers at nearby waterholes.

After your final morning activity, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your private charter flight back to Windhoek in time for your onward international departure.

This marks the end of your remarkable Namibian fly-in safari with Benson Safaris.
