This cross-border adventure combines the highlights of Uganda and Rwanda into one seamless itinerary. Begin with cultural discoveries in Kampala, then track chimpanzees and explore the wildlife-rich plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park before trekking to see mountain gorillas in Bwindi. Continue into Rwanda for conservation experiences near Volcanoes National Park, golden monkey tracking, and a moving visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial. It is a powerful journey of primates, landscapes, culture, and conservation.

Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Uganda & Half-Day Kampala City Tour
Arrive at Entebbe Airport (TK 569 at 03:40). After immigration formalities, your guides transfer you to your hotel in Kampala. Enjoy a city tour visiting:
- Uganda Museum
- Buganda King’s Palace
- Nakasero Market
- Kampala Crafts Village
Lunch at a local restaurant. Return to hotel for rest.

Day 2: Drive to Kibale Forest National Park & Afternoon Chimpanzee Tracking
Depart Kampala at 6:00 AM for Fort Portal (approx. 5 hours), passing tea plantations and scenic landscapes. After lunch in Fort Portal, continue to Kibale Forest National Park for a 3-hour chimpanzee trek led by expert rangers.

Day 3: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Drive through the Ruwenzori Mountains to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Optional game drive en route. In the afternoon, enjoy a 2-hour boat cruise on Kazinga Channel and Lake Edward, spotting hippos, elephants, and birds.

Day 4: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha Game Drive
Early morning game drive in Ishasha Sector, searching for tree-climbing lions. Enjoy packed lunch by the riverside before continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Rushaga).

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi (Rushaga)
After briefing at park headquarters, embark on gorilla trekking (3–8 hours depending on gorilla location). Spend 1 hour observing the gorilla family. Return to lodge for rest.

Day 6: Drive to Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda & Ellen DeGeneres Gorilla Conservation Campus Visit
Cross the border to Musanze, Rwanda. In the evening, visit the Ellen DeGeneres Gorilla Conservation Campus for a guided tour. Dinner and overnight at lodge.

Day 7: Golden Monkey Trekking & Drive to Kigali
Morning golden monkey trek in bamboo forests at the base of the volcanoes. Spend 1 hour observing these active primates. Lunch at lodge before driving to Kigali city for check-in.

Day 8: Kigali City Tour & Departure
After breakfast, enjoy a Kigali city tour including:
- Gisozi Genocide Memorial
- Kandt Museum
- Local market visit
Lunch in Kigali city. Check out at 20:00, dinner at the hotel, then transfer to airport for departure.

This is a private safari, run exclusively for you and each vehicle holds a maximum of 7 clients. If an accommodation is fully booked we’ll suggest a comparable alternative where possible.
