Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kruger & Sunset Game Drive
Your safari starts with a flight from Johannesburg to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to Lukimbi Safari Lodge where you can settle into your suite and enjoy a relaxed lunch.
In the afternoon, head out on your first open-vehicle game drive with a professional ranger and tracker. Off-road driving is permitted within the private concession, allowing for close and rewarding wildlife encounters.
Pause along the way for a classic African sundowner before returning to the lodge for a gourmet dinner under the stars.
- Accommodation: Lukimbi Safari Lodge
Day 2: Big Five Safaris & Guided Bush Walk
Your day begins before sunrise with a morning game drive — one of the most productive times for wildlife viewing. This is when predators are active and the bush comes alive with movement and birdsong.
After breakfast at the lodge, you will set out on a guided bush walk accompanied by an armed ranger. This experience reveals the smaller details of the ecosystem — tracks, plants, insects, and animal behaviour — offering a deeper connection to the African wilderness.
Spend the midday hours at leisure enjoying the lodge’s facilities, followed by lunch and some relaxation overlooking the river.
Later, depart for your afternoon and sunset game drive, when the golden light creates exceptional photographic opportunities.
Return to the lodge for dinner and storytelling around the fire.
- Accommodation: Lukimbi Safari Lodge
Day 3: Final Game Drive & Departure
Enjoy your final early morning safari, a last opportunity to spot the Big Five and take in the beauty of Kruger.
After breakfast, you will check out and be transferred to the airport for your scheduled flight back to Johannesburg.
